BRCC Aviation Camp
Instructor: Dr. Eric Kallio High School Students
Designed for high school level students to expose them to various career fields within aviation; specifically pilot and maintenance technicians. In the 4 days spent with at BRCC Aviation camp the students will learn about how airplanes and the basics of control, how airplanes are built, how we keep airplanes flying, and how to read aviation charts. The camp will feature hands on projects where students will build a wing rib, create a flight plan, and plan a flight route using aeronautical charts. By the end of the camp the students will know how airplanes fly, what it takes to keep them flying, and will know what is needed to pursue a career in the field of aviation.
- Location: BRCC Central Site -10700 Hooper Road
- Dates/Times: July 10 -13, 2018 / 9AM - 3PM
- Students are not allowed to leave campus during lunch. Instructor-supervised lunch will be from 12 noon to 12:45 pm. Students should bring a packed lunch and drink.
