Contemporary Dance Technique and Movement Improvisation
Instructor: Mina Estrada High School and Adult Students
This camp is designed for high school and adult students with intermediate level dance skill, who are interested in developing their understanding of contemporary dance technique and movement improvisation research and practice. Each class will begin with an 1.5 hour contemporary modern technique class which will include floor work, inversion training, and choreography utilizing class material. This will be followed by movement improvisation practice that will facilitate an engaged creative process through several modes of movement making which will be integrated with choreography from technique class.
