What a Relief! A Crash Course in Relief Printmaking

High School and Middle School – Max 20 students

Do more than just scratch the surface with this exciting introductory exploration of relief printing. This technique-driven course is the perfect introduction for artists who want to explore the most accessible of the printmaking processes: relief. Artists will carve their own path to discovery by exploring various image-making and inking techniques. Discover new ways of building texture, layering color, and mark making that can be incorporated into mixed-media work or as small editions using professional oil-based inks.

  • Students are not allowed to leave campus during lunch. Instructor-supervised lunch will be from 12 noon to 12:45 pm. Students should bring a packed lunch and drink.
